Weekend wrap up

Monday snuck up on me!  I hate when that happens.  We had such a good weekend, I didn't want it to end.

Friday night we went to the grocery for our weekend food and snacks!  We made homemade pizza! It was so yum and Clint and I each got our own ice cream.  I found the cutest and most reasonable ice cream, Blue Bunny Personals.  It was the perfect size!  We watched a little of Prison Break season 2 and True Blood.

Saturday:  Gym-Clint played Wallyball, I took a very very good Pump it up class(legs were shaky shaky and sore yesterday), Ava enjoyed kiddie care.  We then stopped off at The Vitamin Shoppe and picked up some Fenugreek for a maple syrup smelling mama.  We had a gift card to "Babies are expensive" and Ava did indeed rack up!  We came home and did a few house chores, which in fact I need to get better at.  My chore chart has suffered a wee-bit!  Clint played his video game, not sure which one.  Ava played in the floor. (she is such an only child, haha) and I studied a while on a CEU course I am taking online about business aspects in Personal Training.  For ISSA certifications, you need to have 20 CEU hours in a 2 year time frame to renew your certification.
The rest of the evening was breakfast for supper and relaxing.

Sunday: Church(which completely messes up Ava's morning nap.) This is the only consistent nap she takes!  We went to the grocery for the weeks foods and then headed home for leftover pizza!  Ava and I had an obligatory baby shower to attend from 2-4pm, so we headed out with my mom for that!  I had been looking forward to cake all weekend!  Well, let me tell you, this mama left the shower UN.HAPPY!  They waited until we were about to leave to even cut the cake and  THEN we find out one of the little SNOTS was eating the edges off of the cake!  Seriously??  Now, I really don't want cake!  I was a little peeved and then the kids that were there kept taking Ava's toys and getting all up in her face!  MAMA Bear started to emerge!  The funny thing is that the kids were like 8, 9, 10ish!!!  Come.ON  really?
We came home and all became better with the world.  My fantastic, wonderful husband had finished the laundry, cleaned the living room, organized Ava's bows and headbands and sock drawer(what dad does that!) and cleaned off the top of the dryer! OMG!  I was so greatful!  I was dreading coming home to do housework!
For Super Bowl Sunday, I had requested nachos!  It was the best supper I have had in a long time and finishe dit off with the rest of my Personal ice cream and a warm brownie Clint made (yes, he made brownies too!)  I was a gloriously stuffed mama bear, but I am still feeling the after effects of the meal this morning!  I have taken a few swigs of some Pepto-Bismol hoping that will settle the animal creating havoc in my belly!

Did you watch the Super Bowl?
We "paused" it (DVR is the best thing ever!) while we were cooking supper and fast forwarded through parts.  Not the commercials though!  Those are the only reason I watch!
My favorite was the Doritos one where they made everything come back alive, a goldfish, plant, and a grandpa.  Hilarious!  The most disturbing was another Doritos where the guy was licking the other guy's fingers!  UGH!  It was disgusting!
What was  your favorite commercial??

Definitely going to hit up the work gym today!  I really overdid it last night on the nachos! Today, is a new day though!!  Gotta get right back at it!

How was your weekend?

Oh Libby!

The week is almost over!  WOOT WOOT!!!  I am loving the fall weather we are having.  I am getting in to the spirit of fall for sure these days.
The other day I went to get some canned pumpkin and low and behold, there was not a CAN ON THE SHELF.  What!! how is that possible??  But its FALL.  Hasn't anyone at the particular Wal-mart that I went to extremely excited about pumpkin even LOOKED at the calendar!!!  Sheesh.

Alas, I went today on this grand 1st day of October and there was a FULLY stocked section of big AND small cans of the glorious pumpkin.

(The evil eyes I gave to the empty shelf the other day, must have been noticed and they got on that shipment STAT!)  Probably not.  Hey, I can hope that my evil stare has that much power.

Not only did I get pumpkin, but Clint said "hey why don't you use that pumpkin for something in your supper tonight and I'll just cook up the pork chops I laid out this morning for me?"  THIS MAN WAS SENT FROM HEAVEN.  Don't think I didn't squeal in delight clap my hands.  (Think "Hercules, Hercules" hand clapping)

I am not sure what I will make with my manna from Heaven tonight, but I can not wait.

I was able to run a very sweaty 5.41 miles on the treadmill earlier today.  I'm not a huge fan of the T-mill, but when you live at the gym all day, its not like you can just take off and run outside.  Oh, but I can dream that I was running this scenic route in the fabulous 75 degree weather.

Onto bigger news.......my mother-in-law is moving in with us in 2 weeks.  Now I love my mother-in-law.  She is quirky and fun and could care less what ANYONE thinks about her.  Its just that selfishly I love having Clint to myself (with the exception of a baby of course) and the routine we have.  With her moving in, it is going to change the entire dynamic that we have set in place after 1.5 years.

I am trying to not stress about things.  My personality stresses so much over so many things that I DON'T EVEN KNOW I AM STRESSING.  I have been physically preparing her room this week moving boxes out of it. (it has been a "just put it in the back room"  type of room)  I have also been TRYING to mentally prepare and not let the stress overwhelm my body.  Stress is not good for my hormones.

When I have been driving back and forth to work, I have turned off the radio and just been using that time to think and pray about the situation and saying this is going to work out for the best.

I know God is teaching me something.  I just wish I knew what.

What would you do in my situation??
How would you deal with this added roommate???
