Easter 2015

We like to have Easter at our house that way we can have an egg hunt!

My mother in law came and spent the night Saturday night and Ava, her and Brody decorated 36 cupcakes.  And decorate they did.  Blue icing was EVERY WHERE!!  I had little blue smurfs by the time they were done!  Thankfully, they didn't consume that much sugar (only because I hovered in the kitchen and watched them!)

Ava and my MIL had a "sleepover" in the bonus room, which Ava loved!

We got up and went to find what the Easter bunny brought.  Going to brag on Clint.  He is a man who can and loves to shop for the kids.  He went and got all of the stuff (and it was cool) and the eggs for the hunt, while I was working Friday!  Good good man!

I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and then darted to get ready for church!

While the kids took a bath, I made sure that they were reminded why we have Easter.  Teaching the kids about Jesus is so amazing as a parent.  You tell the important things to them and don't touch the details.  I feel like that is how we all should live.  Love each other, do what is right, love God.  Keep it simple!

Church service was just what I needed to recharge for the week and then it was off to finish lunch before family arrived at our house!

On the menu:
Green Egg smoked ham and turkey
salad
green beans
hashbrown casserole
Cajun rice
rolls
cupcakes by the pros
crumb cake.
oh yea it was yummy!!

Then it was time to egg hunt!!

They had so much fun!  All 4 kids had to "glittery" eggs with money in them!
Picture time!!!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day!  We took a lot!

Happy Easter!!!

Carwash to a turkey

Monday, Monday!  My alarm went off this morning and I had no idea I went back to sleep until Clint's alarm went off an hour later.  I missed my chance to run, but I did probably need a day off from it.  I did get my 3000 club workout in, 70 pushups, 50 burpees, 2x25 hydrants and 2x20 donkey kicks.

This weekend was very relaxing and great with Clint and Ava.  Saturday I got up and ran 7 miles and then we had breakfast and headed to the grocery store for a few things.
We desperately needed to run the Murano through the carwash!  It is white, but it was on the verge of being a gray vehicle.
Not so sure about this, mama!

You could visual see the water turn a yucky brown color.
This was past due!

The rest of Saturday, we lounged around for a bit and then I got to straightening the house.

I got up Sunday morning and had an easy 4 mile run before doing some prep work for lunch and getting ready for church.

Each Sunday after church, my family rotates house to eat lunch and this Sunday was our turn.
We had bought an extra turkey around Thanksgiving because they are ridiculously cheap.  We put it in the deep freezer for a rainy day.
Yesterday for lunch was the perfect time!

With the turkey, Clint and I made dressing, Annie's mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls and for dessert was
Trisha Yearwood's

This was a keeper!  I will double the recipe next time, but it was just enough to satisfiy the family without any leftovers for my pregnant self to nibble on!

The rest of Sunday involved laying around, reading, watching the Green Lantern and eating leftovers for supper.

I hope y'alls weekend was great!
See ya soon!

Hockey and pancakes

Monday yuck!
Last week we were having unreal weather in January of temperatures in the high 60's/low 70's.
Today, it is only getting up to mid 30's!
Talk about a slap of cold wind!!

Our weekend was a good one!  I got up and ran 6.5 miles before breakfast and getting ready.  We had big plans!
If you live under a rock OR don't follow NHL hockey, they finally agreed on a contract and ended the lockout!  Saturday was an open skate and the team's first unofficial "practice".

Waiting on the players to come out.

They would skate out one at a time.

We were this close!!

After that we came home and Ava and I took a nap before we headed up to my best friend's mom's house for football and chili.
The girls ran around and played and we chatted, watched football and ate amazing chili and brats!  I love chili though!  I could eat it in winter or summer!

Sunday morning I got up and did another 6 mile run and my 3000 club:
 200 crunches, 40 burpees, 40 pushups

We got ready and headed out to church.

Another battery charging for the soul!!

It was pouring down rain, but we managed to go to Longhorn Steakhouse with my family and had a good lunch.

Since it was a rainy afternoon, we all napped!  Good stuff people!

Laundry, house cleaning and some more lounging happened before supper.
Pancakes were on the menu!
Yum!  You can't go wrong with pancakes!!

I took this morning off of running, since I've ran 6 days in a row, but I did do my 3000 club of 125 crunches, 40 pushups and 35 burpees.  Still trudging along doing those at 11 weeks pregnant!!  Love it!!

Have a great Monday!
See ya soon!

Groceries and a newbie!

Hey there on this hump day.  It is a rainy mess outside here today.  Yuck.

I was bound and determined to get up and get in a few miles and do my 3000 club workout.  4am alarm went off and I had no idea what day it was!  But I had told Clint last night that I was getting up and telling him so I'd do it.  I indeed rolled out of bed and after a small apple, ran 3 miles and did 35 burpees, 45 pushups, and 130 crunches.  I was so happy I did it!

Yesterday, we had a busy day, so I got up and ran 6 miles and ended up doing my 3000 club before supper.

We got ready and headed out for errands.  Grocery shopping!
My partner in shopping!  She is eating an apple while we shop and leading the way down the aisle.

"homey don't play that"
Sorry couldn't resist.  I have NO idea why she fell asleep like this but her arms stayed like that until we got home!

We put up groceries and had lunch and then layed down and watched
Bolt Poster

We have in fact watched it like 4 times in the past 2 days.  Such a cute movie.

Clint got home and we couldn't wait to take this picture!
Yep, that is right.  The Ferrell family is expanding and will welcome a new baby around August 6th.  (3 weeks after Clint's biirthday and 1 week after Ava's!!!  Talk about a busy 3 weeks for me!)

We had our 10 week ultrasound and doc appt yesterday morning and all looks great.  The baby was super wiggly and seeing that and the little heart beat beating makes your heart want to explode with love!

I had bad nausea and some morning sickness and extremely tired, but the past week has been great!  I have continued to do my 30 miles a week in running and nothing has really changed on the exercise front.  I am excited to see how long I can run with the baby.  I didn't become a runner until after Ava was born. My doc has no problem with this at all if I am comfortable.  The funny this I have gained 8lbs already.  I was a little underweight and the baby and my body has caught me up I suppose!
We could not be more thrilled and excited about this baby.  Ava is too funny.  She runs around saying she's going to be a big sister. She also knows I have a baby in my belly, although at first she said
"mama has a baby in her butt" !
Oh dear child, yes the baby will be in my butt eventually when the pounds start adding up!

Well have a great day!!!
See ya soon!

Free shopping...good day

Happy Friday y'all!  I started out my morning with 35 burpees, 35 pushups and 150 crunches.  It will get your heart rate up for sure!
Clint decided for the new year he wanted to create this "club" with our Facebook friends to help get him in shape and stay accountable.
For the month of January, you do 3000 of burpees, crunches, and pushups.  Now you can split those up any way you want.

Yesterday was a good day in our world.  I got up and read a little and let my toast digest.  I put some laundry in and had .3 miles ran when Ava woke up.  I went and got her and fixed her breakfast and then hopped back on the treadmill.  I finished an easy 7 miles and did my 3000 club workout.

I finished cleaning the house and got a shower in for the day.
Ava, while I was cleaning the kitchen!

We got ready and all bundled up and went to my parent's house.  My sister was going through all of her clothes and either keeping, giving to me, or giving away.  I layed on her bed and said yes or no.  It was the easiest shopping EVER!  I even got to eat lunch haha.  I came home with 2 sacks and 2 pair of boots. Not bad, not bad.

The sun was bright and we couldn't find her sunglasses.

We stopped at Dollar General to pick up a few things and Ava had just went to sleep on the way there and slept in my arms the entire way through the store.  Talk about an arm workout!

We came home and Clint came home shortly after.  We lounged on the couch and watched some tv and then Clint went downstairs to workout while I made supper.  Cajun rice and baked fries.  It hit the spot!!

After a week of having his new bed since Christmas, Pekka finally realized it is his!
After supper, it was bath time.  Lots of fun is had at bath time!  My sis got Ava some bathtub "paints" and her and Clint had a blast writing on the tub!

All in all it was a splendid day!
Have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon!

Christmas in pictures

Hi! I have took some time off from Blog world.  Four days of Christmas food and presents and I wanted to relax and enjoy!  Here are a few pictures of the days of the holiday.  There are WAY too many that didn't make it.

One of the many dishes I made for all four Christmas shindigs.  Cheese ball

Family sugar cookies

Our neighbor got Ava some baking equipment!  So cute!

Sugar cookie success!

Ava's great gramma got her a horse!

Weekend update

Hey there. Monday is here!! The weekend went by too fast!

Let's start off with a picture of my sweet toddler!  Being a toddler is EXHAUSTING!!

Saturday I got up and knocked out 8 miles on the treadmill before Clint and Ava were up and about.
We all got ready to run some quick errands.
Target!

"Mama, you wanna read?"

Well, of course!

We left Target and headed to Lowe's.  Clint is making Pekka a doghouse.  He won a gift card from work to Lowe's so why not by the wood for the doghouse with it?!
First, we had to peruse the Christmas section and turn on every dancing animal, snowman, Christmasy thingy to see how they looked dancing.

Next, LUMBER.
"How bout this daddy?"
"I'll get it."

We came home and I cleaned and rearranged while they went down to the garage and started on the house.

We left shortly after to go have smoked brisket, coleslaw, baked beans, and pie at our dear friend's mom's house.  They were up for the weekend, so we had to go visit!

Ava and Zoey (16months) are the same height and size and had a blast running around the house and playing.
They are coming over to our house tomorrow for some more play action!!

Sunday morning I got up and made some brownies and gingerbread cake from Trader Joe's for our Sunday school class refreshments.  When that was done, I hopped on the treadmill and knocked out another 8.25 miles!  Having such great runs lately!

I got Ava breakfast, Clint was up.  Time for a shower!!
We got ready and headed to church.  Good stuff!!

Lunch was with my family at Fazoli's.  I indulged and Ava and I split a piece of pizza and had their breadsticks!  Holy yum on the butter and garlic breadsticks!  I wanted to eat my weight in them, but settled at 2!

We ran in to Toys R Us and sneakily bought Ava some new bath toys.
Made one more stop and then headed home!

Yesterday, was a lazy afternoon!  We all laid around and just relished in the day. I made some bread in the bread machine and we fended for food when we wanted it.
Family time in pajamas is where it is at!!

I hope y'all had a good weekend!  About time for lunch!  Good thing, because I am starving!
See y'all soon!

Shopping, lounging, teaching

Good morning!  It is yucky rainy and the temperature is quickly dropping!  Yay Monday right?!
I hope y'alls weekend was full of fun and family sprinkled with all sorts of other things!

Our Saturday started with me running 8 miles!  Great way to start!!
We all ate breakfast and got ready and headed to Opry Mills outlet mall.  It took us about 15 minutes to get off the interstate and get parked!  It was busy but I enjoy it!  It feels so Christmasy when so many people are out and about shopping!

We got a couple of odds and ends and our ornament for the year.  Do y'all know the kiosks that have ornaments that can be written on, well Clint and I started getting one every Christmas since we have been engaged.  Ava has her very first Christmas one and they keep adding up.  It is a fun way to see how things have changed each year!

Distraction while I check out with a small Christmas gift for Ava.

Peeking in Cinderella's castle

People watching!!

We came home and did NOTHING but lay around the rest of the afternoon. I knew I had Sunday to clean house and the house was just lived in, not dirty, so I decided to call it a "no-cleanin day."

At 5:30 we headed next door to have supper with our neighbors.  They are our age and have no kids, but a big loveable mutt named Thor.

She had made lasagna, garlic bread, salads and different cookies.  It was soo yummy!!

We chatted for a long time and they rented BRAVE for Ava to watch.  It ended up being just background noise because we were all talking and Ava was playing with the 115lb Thor!
We are going to try and swap houses every 4-6 weeks from now and and try to get together more.
Sunday, my hamstring was a little sore, so I only ran 3 miles and did a little bodyrock workout.
I put some Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in the oven for Ava and Clint and then cleaned the kitchen and emptied the dishwasher.
So good to get productive!

We all got ready and headed to church on a rainy Sunday.  The sermon was good, but Ava was not in the whispering mood at all!!  Once during the Lord's Supper, she saw my uncle Robert serving and she said, "there's ra-ra!!"  Not once but TWICE!!  We tried to tell her "quiet", but it was hard when you are giggling!!

We substituted as her teachers for Sunday School class.  Whew there are some TAZMANIAN DEVILS in there!
Ava and Isaac
Lunch was at my parent's.  Meat chili and white chicken chili. Grilled cheese, tortilla chips and nacho cheese.  She also made brownies and chocolate chip cookies.  We were very happy campers leaving!  Especially with LEFTOVERS for supper!!

We came home and I "tried" to nap and then when that wasn't going to work I got up to make bread.  (It did not rise!!  Crap.  I'll just have to make another loaf tomorrow)

I folded laundry, put away summer clothes and put away Ava's clothes.  Ava was watching Cinderella, so after I finished my chores, I curled up in the recliner with her and we watched the rest!  The lights were off except for the Christmas tree and the mantle lights.  It was such a special time for me!!

For some pure Monday enjoyment!

Have a great day and I'll see ya soon!
