Day 29-2012

Sunday.  A day of rest.  Our's started off with church and a good "rejuventation" of the heart.  We found out that the 2 year old twins that we went to the party on Saturday are going to be big brothers!   I can't imagine!  After church, we picked up a prescription of mine and them met my family at Fazoli's.  I order the italian house salad and I didn't order what I thought I was ordering.  This salad had pepperoni, salami and bacon in it. Um no thanks!  I ate around all of that and had a few bits of lettuce.  Live and learn! Thank goodness I had an emergency protein bar in the murano.  We left there and went to a retail outlet named Essex.  I have wanted a bread machine for a while and found one for $40! Score.  I made these!

Oh yes!  Those are cinnamon rolls!  They were good!!!  The bread machine is going to be my best friend!

We rented the movie "Courageous" and "Moneyball" on Redbox.  They were good.  Moneyball was better though.  I love me some baseball!

There was a lot of playing and laying on the couch for the rest of the day!  I love Sundays!!

I hope you had a great Sunday!

Day 28-2012

Saturday!  Boy, it was a busy one.  I had to meet my friend Lori, and my best friend Eva's mama-in-law to decorate for her 30th surprise party at 8:15am.  The decorating went great and we were done by 9.  I drove home and picked up Clint and Ava and we headed for the gym.  Clint played wallyball (which means I am not in a rush!)  I ran 5 miles in 48:30 and then did a quick full body workout.

We changed in the car, I know gross, but we had to head to a couple at our church twin's 2 year old "sesame street" birthday party.  This was Ava's first party where all of the kids were running around playing.  It really was a cute and fun party.  All with a real life ELMO!  Ava was not fond of the real life version!

After the party, we headed home to shower.  My college was honoring the 2001-2002 softball team I was on.  We were the first winning season and we were recognized at the basketball game.  It was fun to see the girls.  We all keep up with each other on Facebook, but it was good to see them.  They are those friends you just pick up where you left off.

We stopped to get ice cream and stopped by the house to pee and change Ava's diaper. Then, we were off the Eva's surprise birthday party!  We have been planning this for about 3 weeks.  She was so surprise and I think embarrassed a bit.  The kids played and we all laughed and told stories.  It was a great time.

Our day was busy, but it was a great one!
I hope you had a great day!

Day 27-2012

Friday!!!  Oh yeah.  Another week is over.  I had a great week.  My job is going great.  This job is definitely one that pushes me.  My boss is very detail oriented and meticulous about tasks.  I have to be on my game every day.

On my lunch, I went to visit Ava and she got so excited to see me!  It is so worth those 30-45minutes that I get to visit with her.

The second half of my work day was busy, but went smoothly.  I got home and once again Ava was so excited and said, "Hiiii".  Oh how I love that kid!  We kind of fended for ourselves for supper.  Oh!  A discovery that I have made.  My stomach doesn't do well with grains.  Grains are an inflammatory and I never recognized that after I have them I get gasy and bloated.  My new boss, who is so smart, said something in passing about how his son doesn't do well with grains.  I asked him for some research on it and BINGO!  It was like the glasses were taken off!  I am I guess sensitive or something because since then after I eat grains I have taken notice of the reaction of my belly.  So, I am going to stay away from ALL grains as much as possible.

I fed Ava her supper and we cuddled on the couch until it was her bedtime.  Clint and I usually take turns taking her to bed, but last night we both took her.  We said the prayer together that we usually say "NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP, I PRAY THE LORD MY SOUL TO KEEP.  THE ANGELS WATCH ME THROUGH THE NIGHT AND KEEP ME IN YOUR BLESSED SIGHT."

After Ava was in bed, Clint and I got to cuddle and watch some tv together.  Great end to my Friday!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 26-2012

Thursday was full of errands.  It rained all day!!  No fun when you have to run errands.

Ava slept in until 7am!  I had an appt at the "girl" doctor for my yearly checkup.  We had to wait an hour in the waiting room.  Ava was so good.  We laughed and she snacked.  We had her magnadoodle and we went over "1" and "A".  She was completely fine until Dr. B started examining me. I'm guessing she associates it with her doctor and she thought Dr. B was hurting me, well it wasn't puppies and rainbows, but of course she didn't hurt me.  The nurse practioner picked her up so I could see her.

We left there and went to Walmart for some free items (from coupons) and some other things. After that, we left and Ava napped while I stopped at a thrift store.  All of the clothes were $1 and kid's clothes were $.50.  I walked out spending $9.50 of quite a bit!

We went to the gym and I ran 5 glorious miles.  Since I can't go 5 days a week anymore, I have to make the most of my runs!

We came home and caught up on some Damages episodes and had breakfast for supper.

All in all it was a great day!  I love that I get to be a SAHM 2 days a week!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 25-2012

Hump Day! The first half of my day was busy on and off.  It was raining when I left for my "lunch break".  I had to go to the bank and deal with a bounced check from my previous employer.  I am not happy about that!  Basically the bank told me to contact them and the check will be mailed back to me so I can deposit it again(if I can).  Then, I had to go to the post office for 1 stamp.  Post offices need DRIVE THRUS!!  Especially, people with kids in the car need those.  It takes longer to get the kids in and out of the car than it does to go in and get a stamp!

I rushed off to go see Ava and she was asleep =(.  She woke up about 10 minutes before I was leaving. So, I did get a little time to visit with her and love on her.  She is like a ray of sunshine in the middle of my day!

Afternoon work was a little more busy and the day went on by quickly.  I got home and supper was ready!!!  Oh yeah!  My man is awesome.  Pork chops that I had cooked in the crockpot and salads in mixing bowls.  Ava was in her chair feeding herself supper!  I love coming home to them!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 24-2012

Tuesday was very productive! I needed to go to Publix and Kroger and really wanted to run.  I wasn't sure how I was going to get the run in.  Kid care at our gym is hit or miss in the morning.  I kind of waited until I saw Ava was sleepy and then I made a deal with her.  As long as she slept I would run.  As soon as she woke up, I would be done.  She slept in her carseat beside the treadmill and woke up EXACTLY as I hit 4 miles!!!  Saweeeeet!  What a great kid I have!  She knew mama needed a good run and I greatly appreciated it!
We went to Publix and saved $38.  Ava rode and in the car with the "car" and loved it.  We went to Kroger and saved $48!  She again rode in the "car" buggy.  No fussing, no screaming.  She just enjoyed the rides.  Pretty good saving trip and I got a LOT of stuff!  We headed off to Starbucks and got a free coffee. How did I do that?  If you buy bag starbucks coffee read the side of the bag.  You can bring in an empty bag and get a free tall coffee of the day!  SCORE!

I called Clint to tell him we were headed home, but at the last minute decided to drop in on my sister at her work and surprise her.  She loved it!  We hung out with her for about 30 minutes or so and then headed home.

It was a beautiful day, so we cleaned the Murano out and took all of the trash out.  We left the doors open in the house and put up all of the groceries and waited until Clint got home.

I had my last night bootcamp class to teach, so I left and they hung out at the house.  Bootcamp was great.  I have very dedicated and willing participants.  I would so much rather them want to be there, than come and whine and get on my nerves!

I came home to eat real quick and we headed out for Clint's church league basketball game.  Ava is at that age where she wants to play "bball".  We had to sit in the corner and she "worked" on her core by sitting on the "bball" the entire time and watched the game! She did really great!

After that it was home for the night and bed!!'
I hope you had a great day!

Day 23-2012

Monday, Monday.  Once again.  Once it is all said and done, I work 11 hour days Mon/Wed/Fri.  With the break in between, it doesn't seem that long.  We had a semi busy day with patients, but had busy work to do, so it still  went by fast.  Seeing Ava in the middle of the day is so fun!  I love that little window of time.
It is so comforting knowing that Clint is such a good daddy that I don't have to worry at all about them.  They went to the gym last night and were home when I got home.  (I do miss going to the gym with them.)
I got home and about 30 minutes later the power went out!!!  What do you do with the power out....play chase around the ottoman and dance to daddy's work radio.  We know how to do it!
I think the power was about about an hour and a half and then it was time for bed.

Pretty good day in the books.
I hope you had a great day!

Day 22-2012

Sunday, a day of rest and family!  Yes it was!

We started out the day by going to church.  It is always a breath of fresh air each Sunday.  It just renews by spirit to try each week and let go of last!

Clint and I ran an errand, while Ava was in Sunday school.  She loves it.  It is good for her to interact with kids and kids who go to church.  You can never start good influences too soon.

Lunch was at my uncle's house and most of us were there.  He had meatloaf(I am not a fan, so my mom had made some grilled chicken), corn, green beans, mashed potatoes and rolls.  My chicken, green beans, and roll was very filling and tasty.

We headed home and Ava fell asleep on the ride home and we brought her in in her seat and put her in her room.  She slept for about an hour and Clint and I cuddled on the couch!(perfect!)  She woke up and we ALL cuddled on the couch and caught up on any shows we missed this past week! Perfect!

My downfall on Sundays is snacking.  I ate a box of crackers in two days!  Crackers are not good for me. I don't know when to stop.  Oh well, that is what this week is for right?!

My workout schedule is taking some tweaking.  I need to get a schedule that works for me and that still benefits me.  This week is going to be a trial of sort to see what works best!

Did you have a great weekend??  They always go so fast!!

I hope you had a great Sunday!

Day 21-2012

Saturday.  I didn't feel all that great with sinus crud still lingering, but knew I would feel better physically and mentally if I sucked it up and went to the gym.  So, that's what we did.
I ran 3 miles and listened to my body to stop then.  I did upper body and had a good weights session.
We had to stop by Toys R Us to get an in-store pickup of a great deal on diapers and ended up buying some crayons and another coloring book!
We were starving by now.  O'Charley's was next door.  Easy choice there!
Home for the afternoon to lounge around because later we had hockey tickets!
We hope you had a great day!!!

Saturday, January 21, 2012

Day 20-2012

FRIDAY!  Full day at the office.  Let me tell you, it was BUSY!  We were slammed, especially in the afternoon.  The waiting area was standing room only for about an hour!  I survived my first day of craziness and I loved it!  Yes, I was mentally drained after working 11 hours, but I can do that 3 days a week.

During lunch, I came home and put supper together.  Chicken marinara.

Serves 2.
2-thawed chicken breast.
Pam cooking spray
1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozzerella cheese
jar of pasta sauce

Spray crockpot with Pam.  Beat the egg in a shallow dish. Mix the bread crumbs, parmesean cheese in another shallow dish.  Take the chicken and dip in the egg and then cover with the bread crumb, cheese mixture.  Cover completely.  Put the covered chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
Cover the chicken with the mozzarella cheese.  Pour most if not all of the pasta sauce all over the chicken.
Cook at low for about 6 hours or High for about 3-4.

*You can serve with pasta, but we had a salad as a side.
This was an easy supper and was pretty tasty!  On M/W/F I'm going to come home and put something in the crockpot for supper, that way Clint doesn't have to worry about it.

I hope you had a great day!

Day 19-2012

Thursday, my last day of training at my new job.  I was put on a 30 day contract and after those 30 days I would be evaluated and then technically "hired."  My boss told me yesterday that my "official" day will be Monday!  The contract was only valid for like a week!  I couldn't be happier with this business.  It is such a great fit for me, for my family, and my new boss!

I picked Ava up at my parents' house at noon and we came home and ate some lunch.  I love this couple of hours with her(I love all of my time with her haha).  Clint got home and we caught up on the day.  Then, it was time for me to head to teach bootcamp class.  I did a "class" like session and I will tell you that I made them work hard.  I was even breathing hard and sweating.  It was definitely a great workout.

I am having some sinus yucks going on.  I'm hoping an adjustment today will get all of my nerves firing right and get me to feeling better.

My two questions for you...
Have you ever been adjusted???

Do you buy organic and why?
(this is a topic that I am going to research and decide on my own what I think about it)

I hope you had a great day!

Day 18-2012

Wednesday.  My first full day at work.  7-12 was pretty busy.  We saw 18 patients with 2 new ones.  I felt pretty good about how the morning went., especially it being my second day.  On my 2 hour lunch, I went to the bank and got coffee from Dunkin Donuts and dropped by the house.  I then got to go visit Ava at my parents' house for about 45 minutes!  What a great job that I get to do that!!!!

The the other half of my day, 2-7, was a little more busy, but I didn't feel overwhelmed or anxious.  I'm pretty sure I am going to be able to handle this job.  Yes it will be stressful at times and crazy, but I am content.

I wasn't able to work out yesterday.  My off day will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  I am ok with that. I have 4 other days out of the week to get my sweat on!  It is just that I might not get out of the office right at noon and I want to be able to see Ava for a bit.  So, that is my conclusion to the workout dilemma.

I walked in the door last night and saw two very happy faces!  It made my day to see Clint and Ava excited to see me.

I am content.

I hope you had a great day!

Day 17-2012

Tuesday, my 30th Birthday.  I have been struggling the past couple weeks with turning 30.  I don't really have a reason for it.  I don't "feel" 30, I definitely don't look 30.  I wouldn't trade my life for anything!  Honestly, I wouldn't, but for me, I feel like I should be better somehow at this age.  I can't really explain it.  I know for you to understand I would need to, but I can't put it into words.

Today though, people have put things into perspective for me.  Clint made me a powerpoint this morning and here are a couple of things from the "presentation".  I love this man!

Things you can still do
Run and run as far as you want
Buy a house
Be a wonderful wife
Be the best mama ever
Plan trips
Take care of your Family
Be an example for your sister
And on and on

Things you can't do anymore

Ride the kid rides unless you are with Ava
But the more I think about it not much you can't do

Lifetime goals
What ever goals you still have in life we atleast get to do them together. We get to help each other, push each other, and teach each other. I wouldnt be the place in life I am today without all you do for me!

One of my best friends, made me a card and put a picture of me, Clint and Ava on it and it said, "LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE AT THE AGE OF 30!"  My heart dropped and I teared up.  They were both right!  I am healthy and happy.  I have a great husband that I get to spend 30+more years with.  A beautiful daughter that keeps me young.  A healthy body that was able to do bicep curls today with 25lb DBs and ran 4 miles with no problem.  A great new job that will push me and make me feel needed.  Family and friends who love me.  I couldn't ask for more.  So yes, I did turn 29 30 today, but it really is a number that I need to embrace and be proud of where I am at this age in my life!  I am done feeling sorry for myself that I am in my 30's.  I can only get better, right?!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 16-2012

Monday. My first day at my new job!!  I worked 7-12 today and it was a "slower" day for my boss, which is ok for him, but GREAT for me.  I was able to work my way into working with patients and asking the questions I needed.  The first hour, we didn't have any patients, so he showed me a little but about how he does certain things and then he adjusted me.  He was very thorough in his adjustment and told me my left leg is shorter and that is why I have more troubles on my right side!  (hence, my bulging disc pain) He asked if I was having any problems and I said, "yes, my knee starts to bother me about 2.5miles in to a run." Because of my "shorter leg", I put all of my body weight on my ride side and that will effect things.  He ADJUSTED my knee!  Who knew that was possibly?!?  Then he tried to adjust my ankles.  Apparently, they are supposed to move freely and mine DO NOT.  He couldn't even work on them, because they were so locked up.  It is amazing how much you learn about the body and the REASON things happen.

I feel like this job will be stressful at times, BUT for my personality it will be perfect.  This is a job that there are t's to cross and I's to dot and you have to finish things before you can leave.  A very task/check off place and that is exactly how my brain works.  God knows what he is doing!

I went to pick up "monkey" and we came home and snuggled on the couch until Clint got home.  We caught up for the day and relaxed until we went to my parent's house for my birthday  supper.  We had white chili, grilled cheese and cake with buttercream icing!  YUM!!

I hope you had a great day!

Monday, January 16, 2012

Day 15-2012

Sunday.  Well, Clint did not feel better this morning and I didn't feel my best.  We stayed home from church and Clint had an on again off again fever all day long.  I had a horrible headache most of the day.  Ava was perfectly fine!

It was a lounge around all day kind of day.  I did get in a home lower body workout in the morning and washed the sheets and comforter.  We watched Damages, football (Ava's first compound word yesterday!), Property Virgin and some other non important lounge around the house shows.

Sadly, there wasn't much going on.  I made Clint drink fluids, Emergen-C, and we went and got him his sick "medicine", chocolate ice cream.  That is what he wants when he is sick.  I don't know where that came from when he was growing up, but he has to have chocolate ice cream each time he is sick.

I start my new job tomorrow.  I am really nervous about it.  Although (my friend Eva reminded me of this) this is where I feel God wants me right now in my life, so I know he will take care of everything on my first day!  I just have to relax and trust him to handle my nerves!

I hope you had a great day!

Sunday, January 15, 2012

Day 14-2012

Saturday.  We woke up this morning and I cleaned and straightened the house and got ready to go out for the day and our many errands.

First up, the gym.  I ran 4 miles in 39:30min. I am still building my base, so I can really start increasing my times in a few weeks.

Next errand, the nail place to get my broken nail fixed. I was so mad when I looked down and saw that it had broken.  The place that did them, didn't do them thick enough, so I got that one fixed and the others touched up.

On to Panera Bread for lunch!  I love this place.  Ava and I split the chicken noodle soup and the BBQ chopped chicken salad. Oh and I had some coffee.  Yum!

TJMAXX was next.  I got a sweater and a shirt and headed off to the next place.

The MALL!  Whew, the mall never ceases to amaze me and the people that walk the place!  I could sit for hours and watch people and wonder why in the world they decided to wear what they had on!  I picked up some under clothes necessities, a skirt, some tarts form Yankee Candle.  SIDENOTE:  If you live around a Yankee Candle and need some tarts or candles, they are on sale for $.50 each!  That is a super deal on those!  Where else did we stop?  Oh yeah, Clint got a KC Chiefs shirt and an Alabama National Championship shirt.  They didn't have any women's sizes or kid's. Ava was getting sleepy, so I made a quick shirt purchase and we headed home.

Clint started feeling a little under the weather. He had 3 layers on and the heat was on!  Ava and I colored, played catch, ran around, she played by herself for a bit while I did some things on the Kindle.  We watched a few episodes of Damages(highly recommend).

Supper was grilled cheese and turkey sandwiches.  They are so simple, but oh so good!

We finally took Clint's temp and it was 101.7!  Yep, he is sick.  So I made him take some Theraflu and some Emergen-C and put him to bed.  Hopefully, he will feel better in the morning.

I hope you had a great day!!

Day 13-2012

Friday the 13th.  I've never been superstitious and it didn't start today either! Today in fact was a fantastic day.  I actually took some time for myself.  I had talked myself out of going.  "the roads are too icy." "Ava needs a nap."  "ava has a runny nose."  "I feel selfish, dropping Ava off at my parents' house so I can go enjoy some time for me."  All of these thoughts were running in my head, until Clint convinced me to go.  He knew I had talked myself out of it, but pushed me to go.

So we straightened up the house (never know when you will get a showing phone call) and Ava and I went to drop her off.  She fell asleep in the car (thank goodness).  She was so tired, bless her.  Dropped off a sleeping baby and off I went.

Where did I go?  I got a set of nails put on and an hour massage.  I know some people don't care for them and think they are tacky, but if I a "fun stash" of money just for me, I would have my nails done and kept up every 3 weeks or so. I feel so feminine and wonderful just with a set of nails.  How silly that sounds now that I type it, but it is true.

My friend Amanda is a massage therapist and my parents' gave me a massage for Christmas.  Amanda truly is blessed by God with magic hands.  She is the best massage therapist I have ever been too.  I tell her that too every time I get a massage.

After an hour of heaven, I went to pick up a sleeping baby.  Haha she is an easy kid to babysit!  We stayed home on our typical Ferrell Friday night fashion.  I love Friday nights!  Our exhausted child fell asleep at about 5:50pm.  I told Clint even though it might mess up her sleeping pattern we should let her sleep until she wakes up.  She woke up about 9pm for a snack and then went back down at about 10pm.  She woke up this morning at 6:30am!!  She is a sleeping champ.  Just letting her sleep was definitely a great decision.  Her body needed all of that sleep.

I did a 20minute full body workout at home.  Today, was a cross train or rest day.  No running.  It was a fairly good workout.

Well, I hope you had a great day!

Friday, January 13, 2012

Day 12-2012

Thursday was a day literally spent in our pajamas ALL DAY!!  Clint unfortunately had to work, but Ava and I stayed home.  We colored(her new thing), we played with the Fisher Price little people Ferris wheel she got for Christmas.  We just layed on the couch.  We did 3 loads of laundry.  We did a whole lot of nothing and it was GREAT!

For some reason, she doesn't like to sleep during the day much when I am home or Clint and I both are on the weekends.  Today she only napped 35 minutes ALL DAY LONG!  She was a champ though.  She never let up.  So we played!

The weather got bad with black ice and snow, so I had to cancel my bootcamp class.  The ladies were completely ok with it.

During the day I had made chicken enchiladas for supper.  They turned out really good!
Ingredients: Serves 2.25 (me, Clint and Ava)
1/2 red onion chopped
1/2 bell pepper chopped
1 cooked chicken breast
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
3 tbsp taco seasonings
1 can enchilada sauce(I only used 3/4 of a can)
1/2 cup shredded cheese
2 whole wheat tortilla shells
2 whole wheat Flatout wraps
pam cooking spray

-After choping the onion and pepper, turn on the stove to med-high heat and spray the pan with Pam cooking spray.  Saute' the pepper and onion until translucent.
-Cut up the chicken breast into bite size pieces or you can shred it with a fork.
-Pour the sauteed peppers and onions into a mixing bowl. Add the chicken, fat free sour cream, taco seasoning, and 1/4 cup cheese into the bowl.  Mix until all covered with the sour cream.
-In a 9x13in baking dish pour a smidge of enchilada sauce so they won't slide around.  Take each of the tortillas and put about a 1/4 cup of the mixture down the center.  Wrap the tortilla and place it seam side down in the dish.  I cut the Flatout wraps in half and did the same thing as the tortillas(so they made 4 little enchiladas).
-I poured about a 1/2 cup enchilada sauce on top and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
-Cover with aluminum foil and either place in the fridge until you are ready to bake or go ahead and put them into a preheated oven at 350 for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
-Serve with shredded lettuce, fat free sour cream, salsa.
Guys these are SO EASY and good!

I just took a rest day for workouts.  No harm no foul in just spending the day with Ava!

I hope you had a great day!!

Day 11-2012

Wednesday.  Well, I had said that Friday would be my last day at my current job.  Last night, I got some news that made the decision to leave Friday a little tough.  My current job is having some financial trouble.  I had a huge conviction put on my heart.   I trained the part time girl on Monday on my responsibilities.  After that I did NOTHING!  I piddled on the computer and read some of book 5 of the Outlander series.  I couldn't in good conscious waste work 3 more days and be ok with being paid for it and knowing that they were having a hard time financially.

So, I talked to Clint about it and he said it was up to me and he would be fine with whatever I decided.  Well, this morning I did.  I walked into my boss's office and explained how the part time girl  could take care of things and I didn't want to waste their money.  He was totally ok with that (he knew I would be saving him money).

My final day was today.  Our front desk lady cried.  She has become a psuedo mom, great aunt figure to me.  My boss gave me an awkward hug and stepped on my toe.  I left.  I wasn't sad, I didn't regret my decision.  I am content.

Gym time!!  Today was speed work.  I did a warm up mile at 6mph.  Ran a mile at 6.7mph.  Slowed down to 6.2mph for half a mile, then sped back up to 6.7mph until I hit 3.1miles.  I did this in 29:20.  Not bad, just starting back in the swing of things.

I had made a soup/stew for supper in the  magic crockpot.  It was super good!
4oz ground turkey
1 can kidney beans
1 can cream style corn
1 can diced tomatoes and chiles.
3 tbsps taco seasonings

We are now watching Grey's Anatomy from last week on HULU.  Good end to a weird day.

Another chapter of my life is done!  On to the next!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 10-2012

Tuesday began with me going to my NEW JOB and doing some training!  It is so refreshing!  My new boss is organized(like me) and has it together!  My job will have a lot of responsibilities, but I hate being bored and having nothing to do, so I can say I think God has put this job in my life for good reasons!

After some training, I took Daisy to the vet to get her allergy shot.  My girl, Daisy, has a "caution" in her folder. haha!  I tell them every time, "I need to hold her when you give her her shot.  She will snap at anyone else."  They didn't believe me like 3 times and tried to hold her, well guess who would end up doing it?!  This time though, they had made a note last time, so I held her and we were in and out in 10 minutes!

I picked up Ava from my parent's house and we went home and played and watched a little Bubble Guppies cuddled on the couch!  Love those moments!

Clint got home and we got to spend some time together before I went to teach bootcamp class.  It was a great class!  The women were exhausted and sweating and really did a great job!  They are making huge improvements and I am so happy for them.

I got home around 6:45pm and was welcomed home by two amazing smiles!  I love being able to see Ava's face especially when I come home or pick her up.  It automatically makes a bad day great!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 9-2012

Monday, Monday.  This day started my last 4 days at my current job.  Let me tell you, I am unmotivated.  I spent some time with the girl who currently works part time and will be taking over some of my hours and responsibilities.  I don't know what I am going to spend my time on the rest of the 3 days.  Maybe a lot  little of pinterest!

I went to pick Ava up at my parent's house and she was coloring.  My mom said, "let me show you something."  "Ava, which one is the yellow one." My mom had 4 crayons in her hand and Ava picked up the yellow one! I was so excited.  It is truly amazing watching her learn and grow each and every day.  We showed her 2 new sign languages words on Saturday, "help" and "hot".  She already knows how to semi sign them.  I  think, "how in the world can she pick that up that fast?"  But she is a sponge!

We went to the gym and on my training plan was 3 easy miles.  Done. In 29:45min.  I lifted upper body and hit once muscle group at a time pretty hard for 3x10.  Good workout!!

Then we picked up Papa John's to watch the BCS National Championship against Alabama and LSU.   You can't beat Papa John's.  If I am going to eat a piece of pizza, I don't want to waste it on bad pizza.  I had a huge salad to compliment my slice!  Great supper.
*Alabama won!!  Whohooo! oh yea!

I hope you had a great day.

Day 8-2012

Why is it that the week drags on and on, but the 2 day weekend goes by in a flash?!  I will never get that.

This morning we went to church which was really good.  Sunday school class had some great points that made me take a step back because they hit really close to home.  I am going to pray about some of the things that were talked about and really decide what God would want me to do.  I do feel like I should put my trust in Him, but at the same time be smart and use the resources he has given me.

Lunch was at my parent's house.  It was a great lunch of laughing, story telling and enjoying all 13 of us that were there.  (My family does Sunday lunch together every Sunday.  We do not go every Sunday, but try to go at least once or twice a month.)

We came home and I did some laundry(this chore NEVER ENDS!)  and Clint and Ava took much needed naps.  I read some and watched some tv.

Supper was leftover lasagna from last night and today was our rest day of working out.  Much needed!!

Ava went down about 45min ago and we are relaxing on the couch.  Another weekend in the books.  My last week at my current job starts tomorrow and Alabama football plays tomorrow!
Roll tide y'all!!!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 7-2012

Saturday was productive and not.  Ava decided to get up and need a snack and watch Bubble Guppies at 3:30AM!!  Yep, she wanted to start off the weekend end super early.  Clint got up about 7:30am. So Ava and I had plenty of together time.

We went to the gym and I ran a slow easy 4 miles in 39:30.  It felt good to sweat some.  I don't mind the treadmill at all, but I do prefer to increase/decrease the speeds throughout my runs.  Steady state runs are a little harder for me to do.

Publix and Kroger were next on the list.  We saved like $40 at Publix and almost $70 at Kroger.  I call that a success for a week and a half of groceries and diapers and wipes for a couple at church.

Then it was home to shower and get in my comfy clothes.  With no house to clean, Ava napped for 2 hours(lucky dog) and a little lunch, the afternoon started off on the right foot.

Ava woke up and I fed her lunch while Clint took the Christmas stuff to the storage unit.  While he was doing that, Ava and I went in the backyard and picked up some boxes that the wind had blown all over the place.  We were next to the corner of our lot and Romeo, the pitbull came up to the fence and barked and scared the bezeesus out of us.  We high tailed it to the other side of the yard.

A lot of nothing was done the rest of the day.  I made lasagna and salads for supper.  I will say that that lasagna was one of my best!!

Ava called it a night at 7:30pm and I called it a night at 8pm!  I was super tired by then too!

Good day in the books!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 6-2012

TGIF right?!  Work was slow for me today.  My boss is still acting odd and distant.  I just didn't think his reaction to my putting in my 2 weeks' notice would be so......ridiculous.  We finally talked about what we were going to do and the girl who works part time is going to pick up the extra hours to cover some of mine.  God is putting things in place, because she was starting to look for a morning job to supplement her income.  These extra hours will be just what she needs.  She will come in early next week to work each day and we will go over what I do.  My boss is still avoiding the situation.  I think HE should know what I do, just in case something with the other employee happpens, but he is being an 8 year old pouting.

It was Ferrell Friday night at home.  This has kind of become our trend on Fridays.  We come home, get in our jammies, play with Ava, cook supper (i had a salad with grill zucchini and Clint had steak nachos) and watch Damages on hulu.  I actually love it Friday nights!!

After supper, I got some grocery lists and my coupons to Publix and Kroger together for Saturday after the gym.  Our fridge is getting bare.  My plan by design.  Time to fill it up!

It was a much needed rest day from working out.

I hope you had a great day!

Day 5-2012

Thursday....In the words of Ava, "let's seeeee".  Today was not a bad day, but not a great day.  You know just one of those.  It wasn't very busy at work today, although I have started compiling a list of sites I order things for the office, contacts I use and passwords and such.  The list is starting to get long of all of the things I take care of.  I am a little worried because my boss left me run with my job and he relies on me so much.  Speaking of my boss, other than a "morning" and me asking a question about a patient and his one sentence response, he didn't talk to me until like 2:15 today.  And all that was was "hey I want to talk tomorrow about things we need to go over and I am going to ask the afternoon girl if she wants more hours to handle your schedule."  My response, "okie doke".  When I wanted to say, "you have had 90 hours to deal with this news.  You are acting like a child, and I am really surprised at the way you are handling, or not handling it.  I only have five days left to get you up to speed of what I do, and you are moping around like I stepped on your kite! Get it together and let's talk about what you need to know!" Whew I feel better now!

We will see if he really wants to talk tomorrow.

I taught bootcamp tonight and I divyed it up into 2 circuits and 5 stations each circuit.  One of my ladies didn't come, so being the generous person that I am, jumped in and filled in the station.  Whew, I can put together a hard work out! Good to know that I am good at my job!  haha

I was able to get home to play with Ava a bit and give her a bath.  She was worn out from playing with her daddy, so she went to bed about 30minutes early.  I am in the process of doing 2 loads of laundry and blogging.  I will get to reading after I blog.  I have to finish this book before next Friday because it is on loan from one of my patients.  I am only on page 312 out of 1070!  All of her books are that long though.  I better get to reading then!

I hope y'all had a great day!

Day 4-2012

Humpety Hump Day.  I have been thinking it was Monday ALL DAY today!  I guess because it was my first day back from the holidays.  But I have to remember I work tomorrow and it is not Tuesday!

So today in my life.  I was dreading work.  Since the boss "break up" on Monday, I knew it would be a little awkward, but he had 2 days to process it and deal with it.

I get to work at 7am, he said "morning" to me at like 9am-ish.  He really didn't talk to anyone today. I did get an email from him to send a lady some info.  But THAT WAS IT!! All day long.  I don't know what to think about it.  I don't know if he was pouting, he looked a little sick, so many he was coming down with something, or just didn't know what to say so didn't say anything at all!   Oh well, 6 days left.

Our front desk lady was completely supportive.  She said I was like one of her kids and she would be sad to see me go, but I couldn't turn this opportunity that fell in my lap and that was 4 miles from home down.  She did help make things better with her encouraging words!

We went to the gym after work.  Of course, it is packed.  Well, at least for about 5 more weeks right?!?  Then the resolutioners will fade back out and it will be back to the usual crowd.

Today's workout plan had me doing a tempo run. I ran 4.25 miles in 40:44min.  It is the longest I have ran since I had a bulging disc in my back this past August.  Pretty excited to see good miles and no pain in those miles! I did a heavy upper body workout and called it a day at the gym.

Then we came home and huge salads were on the menu for supper!  We played with Ava for a bit before bed.  I am going to finish this post and curl up on the couch and read.  I am reading the 4th book in the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. If you need a good, keeps you guessing, leaves you hanging type of series, this is it!

Ok, now I want to read!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 3-2012

Tuesday it is.  I have Tuesdays off(current job) and Clint went back to work this morning from his 4 days off.  Ava and I were sad.  What would make that better???  SHOPPING!  Oh yes, we did.  We picked up my mom and sis and first stopped by CVS.  I would've spent like $80, but only spent $6!  Booyah!  From May of last year until Dec. 31 2011 I saved us $2100 in couponing.  My goal this year is $4000.  Anywho, we then went to this adorable accessory store called Charming Charlie.  I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go in there.  All the accessories from purses to scarves are color coordinated.  Need something pink?  Go to the pink section.  Such a great idea for a store!  My 30th (HUGE GASP!) birthday is the 17th of this month and my parent's have always given us a birthday budget.  I spent that budget, as well as bought a gift for my brother and my sister to get me!  I might as well like what they give me right?!

I feel so weird though because I rarely spend money on myself, but birthday is all about me.  Although it is odd, because even though I think my birthday is the best "holiday" every year, 30 is seeming to be hard on me.  I don't know why, but I don't want to turn 30!

Moving on....I teach a bootcamp class now on Tuesday and Thursday nights.  I love it.  It has been so long since I was able to push people and use my creative juices!  Plus, sometimes I can jump in and get in some workout time too!  WIN WIN!

That was pretty much today in a nutshell.

But I am DREADING going to work tomorrow.  Since the boss "break up" on Monday, this will be the first contact I have had with him. I am going to have to tell my coworkers tomorrow too.  I have a feeling it will be a long night for me.

I'll let you know how that plays out tomorrow! dun dun dunnnnnn!

I hope you had a great day!

Day 2-2012

Hey there!  On this Monday in 2012, it was a rough morning.  Out of sheer God's design, I got offered a job as the office manager of a chiropractic office 4 miles away from our house(my current job is 38 miles from home).  After many nights of praying, discussing the pros and cons with Clint, we decided taking this job offer was the best decision for our family.  The office I currently work in doesn't open back up for the holidays until Wednesday, so I wanted to call my boss and tell him what was going on.  I have been sick to my stomach and a nervous wreck for 3 days thinking about making this phone call.  Well, this morning, the time came.  I called and there was no answer! Crap!  I was so ready to get this over with.  About and an hour and a half of almost puking from nerves, he called back.  The conversation was about 5 minutes long and all in all he understood that I wanted to make the best decision for my family, but there was still that tone in his voice that he wasn't all together happy.  I felt like I was breaking up with someone and they had no idea it was coming!  I had a good cry afterwards and moped for an hour or so and then started to enjoy my day because me, Clint and Ava played at home today!

I love days where we can stay in our jammies most of the day and be content!  We played, watched some DAMAGES on HULU.  We picked up the house some.(when house viewings can be called in like 2 hours before, you HAVE to keep a clean house!), Ava napped, I couponed, Clint played Modern Warfare 2. Great stuff.

About 3:30pm we decided we should probably go pick up a prescription of mine and head to the gym.
I ran 3.18 miles in 30 minutes. Nice and easy run, then did some upper body stuff.  It was good to get out of the house and sweat a little uneasiness out of my body and clear my head.

I hope you had a good day!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
It has been a couple of months of no posts.  All I can say is that blog reading and posts were overwhelming me.  I was getting behind on reading other blogs that I keep up with and felt like I couldn't keep up.  Also, I kind of lost my blog "focus".
I still don't know where I want this blog to go, but I do know that I want to chronicle this year of my life.

Today in my life....
Ava is 17 months old and 1 day old.
She actually said "all done" as well as the "all done" motion in sign language.  She can also do "more", "drink", "come", "please", "thank you", "sleepy".
She can say "mama", "daddy", "daisy", "more", "all done", "let's see", "ki-ki"(my sister Caitlin).
She is an amazing kid!

We went to church this morning and then went to Sunday school class after.  Good stimulating class with godly people our age.  Great way to start the year!

After church, we had 3 couples over to our house for lunch.  Pork chops/steak, salads, mac n cheese, rolls, and strawberry bundt cake.

Ava has some bowel issues today(yesterday too).  Her poor booty is outrageously raw!  We are trying all of the poop thickening things we can think of...bananas, cheese.  We are also giving her Pedialyte to prevent dehydration.  If she doesn't get any better by tomorrow I will make a call to the pediatrician.

I don't like making New Year's Resolutions, because I feel such guilt if I don't complete them.  Instead this year I have made prospective goals.  Here are mine for the year.
Run 700 miles in 2012.
Pray with Ava.
Sing church songs to her.
Start trying to get pregnant(mid summer)
Run a Tough Mudder.
Get our house sold and by our "forever" house.

I am sure I will come up with more being that I am a goal oriented person.  I also know that I want to blog every day.  I want to do this for me and not worry about how many followers I have or how many comments I get.  I want this to be MY outlet and a way to get my thoughts, feelings, milestones for Ava, my exercise endeavors, and any and all randomness that I can come up with.

So, if you read my posts, thank you.  If you comment, thank you.  I will try and read blogs when I can and not think i "have" to read those blogs or become competitive with others.

Have a great 2012.
